The Journey

With over 15 years of experience in culinary arts and pastry design, I specialize in crafting luxurious, health-conscious treats that celebrate global flavors and elevate every occasion. From classic high tea delicacies to innovative gluten-free and fermented creations, my work blends tradition, artistry, and wellness in every bite.


Where It All Began

Born and raised in Vernon, British Columbia, my culinary journey began in my school's kitchen and a local tea house. In 1998, I moved to Vancouver to deepen my craft, eventually earning my culinary certification from Vancouver Community College in 2011.

Along the way, I've worked in fine dining, catered events for up to 300 guests, and collaborated with exceptional chefs across Canada.


Learning From Heritage

My passion for food is rooted in cultural connection. I've been fortunate to learn from friends and colleagues who shared their heritage — from Ghanaian and Somalian to Jamaican, Mexican, Italian, and Greek cuisines. Today, I continue to explore Brazilian and Puerto Rican flavors, always seeking new ways to surprise and delight.

But my connection to global cuisine goes even deeper.

Through recent DNA ancestry testing, I discovered a rich blend of cultural roots that inspire everything I create:

Northern Wales, Munster (Ireland), and the Isle of Man

English & Northwestern European:
Southeastern England and the West Midlands

West African Roots:
Benin & Togo, Nigeria, Ivory Coast & Ghana, Mali, Cameroon, Congo & Western Bantu Peoples

This beautiful mosaic of heritage isn't just data — it's the foundation of my culinary vision. It's why I infuse my desserts with flavors, stories, and traditions from around the world. It's why every dish I create honors the cultures that shaped me.
